Why Fiber Light?
One pinch of Fiber Light will easily burn 5-10 minutes depending on how much you use. During different times of the year you might choose to use a little less or a little more.
Natural Fire Starter
We call Fiber Light a Natural Fire Starter because it does not have any chemical accelerants in it making it flamable. It is Naturally Flamable! Due to its natural properties Fiber Light does not have a shelf life and will never expire.
Ultra Light Weight
Fiber Light is unbelievably light weight! It packs very well in your hiking bag or camping gear only weighing in at 3oz. There is enough fiber in a single tin to get you up to 30 fire starts.
How To Use Fiber Light
Process Down Wood
After gathering your fire wood take a piece and cut it down into small kindling.
A Pinch Is All You Need
Grab a pinch of Fiber Light. Your pinch will be bigger or smaller depending on the weather. If its wet and cold you will use a little more and if its is hot and dry then you can use a lot less.
You can light Fiber Light with a lighter or match. We prefer using a ferro rod. If it is too windy, too cold, or too wet matches and lighters just wont work. Ferro rods are extremely reliable and will always work!
Justin is a USMC Veteran joining the Marine Corps right after high school. While in Military Police School Justin was one of two Marines to be selected for Presidential Guard Duty, HMX-1 Presidential Helicopter Squadron, MCB Quantico, VA. Justin worked for President George W. Bush during his first term. Once out of the Marine Corps Justin started a family. Justin and his wife Sophia have been married for 17 years and they have 2 kids.
Justin began formulating Fiber Light out of waste wood fiber from a local wood mil. During the first year Justin focused on confirmation from the market to find out if Fiber Light worked as good as Justin thought it did. After selling 36,000 tins of Fiber light in the first year Justin began expanding the product line to include ferro rods, kits, pouches, and more. The second year he set out on a national trade show tour to get in front of the outdoor market and meet his customers. This helped grow the brand and build partnerships with other big outdoor companies.
